Kincardine
Despite the rain and chilly temperatures the Shortest Day of Play persevered in Kincardine! We had the community pool full for 2 hours, had a BBQ and games inside the hall for children and their parents. The walking track was also busy as we handed out free pedometers, fitnesses classes were going strong as well as skating on our ice rink. A big contributer to the activities was Kincardine Waves Youth Coalition with their BBQ and Smoke Free Movie Night getting children active as they watched A Christmas Story. The community expressed an interest in having a snowman building contest with bonfire and BBQ later in the winter when we could be sure there was snow on the ground. Thank you to the Shortest Day of PLAY organizers for getting the ball rolling on a new activity people are really excited about!
