South Bruce - 3rd Place!
Immaculate Conception School, Sacred Heart Mildmay and Sacred Heart Teeswater worked together for this event. The Municipality of South Bruce generously sponsored skating in both Mildmay and Teeswater. Students walked to and from the arena and skated for about an hour and a half. In Teeswater we stopped and sang carols at the Municipal office.
Special activities took place at Immaculate Conception Formosa in the afternoon. Prior to the event, everyone in Teeswater decorated and wrote their favourite winter sport on a "skate" and these were put on a bulletin board. Music was played outside at recess and active games were lead by our Spirit in Motion student leaders. In Teeswater we also hosted a student versus staff and senior boys versus senior girls volleyball games. These games generated quite a bit of interest and excitment and the cheerers were almost as active as the participants. The school's slogan is "Play, Pray, Everyday".
