Saugeen Shores, ON; The Power Workers Union has graciously donated $1800 to the Saugeen Shores PLAY Network, to enhance their programming/promotions while continuing to offer free community events and activities.
“Our group is passionate about keeping kids active – we’ve held a number of events through 2014 and this funding will ensure we are able to continue to offer events in 2015. Ultimately we’re reminding people how important it is to play, every day” said Teresa Brown, Saugeen Shores Play volunteer.
The Power Workers Union supported Play’s application to their funding program which has a focus oncommunity events and promotional campaigns to promote awareness about the importance of physical activity and to encourage people to get out and get moving in Saugeen Shores.
The Saugeen Shores Play Network is a branch of the regional group “Play Bruce Grey”. The Saugeen Shores network continues to plan for the RBC Sports Day in Canada (Nov 29).
